Nyra Banerjee, originally named Madhuurima Banerjee, was born on May 14, 1987. She is an actress from India who appears mostly in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada films, as well as in Hindi TV shows. Nyra is especially famous for her main role in the supernatural drama series on Star Plus called "Divya Drishti." She also took part in "Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 13," a reality show. Currently, Nyra is competing in "Bigg Boss 18," another popular Indian reality show.

Nyra started her career by acting in various TV series. She made her first big appearance in movies with the Telugu comedy "Aa Okkadu," directed by Srinivasa Murthy Nidadavole. Aa Okkadu is a 2009 Telugu action thriller film starring Ajay Madhurima and Suresh Gopi. N S Murthy directed the film which was released by Tolly 2 Holly Films on June 5, 2009. Mani Sharma wrote the music. Sri Krishna (Suresh Gopi) is a successful criminal lawyer. Bujji (Ajay) works for Sri Krishna.

Dr. Pavitra (Madhurima) is a psychiatrist who works in a mental hospital. Sri Krishna and Pavitra are disciples of a godman. Pavitra has a family feud with her brother-in-law and he dies under suspicious circumstances. Slowly a few people affiliated with Pavitra are slain and the needle of suspicion begins to point towards Pavitra. The rest of the movie is centred on figuring out who did it.

Orange (2010)

Bhaskar's 2010 Telugu-language romantic comedy-drama film Orange was written and directed by him. Ram Charan Genelia D'Souza and Shazahn Padamsee lead in the film with Prabhu and Prakash Raj playing supporting roles. Harris Jayaraj composed the music for the film which was released on November 26 2010.

The picture was a box office failure at its initial release but it has since become a cult classic. In 2011 it was dubbed and released in Tamil as Ramcharan. Despite a great soundtrack the film was a box office flop. However it became a popular film much later in its theatrical run and even critics concede it was ahead of its time.

Shadow (2013)

Shadow is a 2013 Indian Telugu action film directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Paruchuri Kireeti under the United Movies label. S. Thaman wrote the music for the film which stars Venkatesh Srikanth Tapsee and Madhurima. On April 26 2013 the film was released. In 2013 Sumeet Arts dubbed the film into Tamil as Meri Jung: One Man Army and Hindi as Meri Jung: One Man Army.

During its entire run the film grossed $11.5 million globally. According to reports Venkatesh played a mafia don in this film. However he stated that this was not the case. Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi is making his Telugu debut as the film's villain.

Koothara (2014)

Koothara is a Malayalam-language coming-of-age film directed by Srinath Rajendran and written by Vini Vishwa Lal that was released in 2014. Mohanlal Bharath Sunny Wayne and Tovino Thomas star. The plot revolves around three engineering students Koobrin (Bharath) Tharun (Tovino Thomas) and Ram (Sunny Wayne) and their escapades during and after college.

Shahul Hameed Marikar produced the picture under the umbrella of Marikar Films which was distributed by UTV Motion Pictures. Gopi Sundar created the original songs and the background score. The film was released on June 13 2014 to mixed reviews from critics.

One Night Stand (2016)

One Night Stand is a 2016 Indian Hindi erotic love drama film directed by Jasmine D'Souza and written by Bhavani Iyer. Tanuj Virwani and Sunny Leone play the key parts. The plot revolves around a man who becomes enamored with a woman with whom he had a one-night stand. 

Principal photography was completed in 55 days with locales including Mumbai Bangkok and Pune. On May 6 2016 the film was released. The film was also made available in Telugu and Tamil. In India the film grossed $41.9 million (US$520 000) over its whole run.

Ssshhhh... Koi Hai (2007)

Ssshhhh… Koi Hai is an Indian horror thriller television anthology series made by Star Plus Cinevistaas Limited and Contiloe Entertainment. They collaborated on the first season while succeeding seasons were entirely created by Abhimanyu Raj Singh and shown on Star Plus' sibling channel Star One. 

The series which started on July 27 2001 lasted three seasons ending on May 16, 2010. Sssshhh... Phir Koi Hai was the title of the second season which aired weekly on Friday and Saturday nights. Sssshhh... Phir Koi Hai - Aryaamann a four-episode special series premiered on July 6, 2007. Rahil Azam plays Aryaamann the ghost buster in this series. This special series concluded on July 27, 2007.

Divya Drishti (2019)

Divya Drishti is an Indian supernatural drama television series that aired on Star Plus from February 23, 2019 to February 23, 2020. Nyra Banarjee Sana Sayyad Sangita Ghosh Adhvik Mahajan and Mishkat Varma acted in the film which was produced by Fireworks Productions.

It was adapted into Kannada as Divya Drushti and successfully shown on Star Suvarna. Originally the series was supposed to have 52 episodes and terminate in July 2019. Since its premiere, the show has been among the top 20 most-watched Hindi series.
