Under the backdrop of the Mughal Empire the story is set in the 17th century.

The movie's production got underway in September 2020 and Hyderabad was the primary location for most of the shooting. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic Kalyan's other film projects and his political obligations the production was delayed. A March 30 2023 release date has been set for the movie.
