In Australia's 2011 series against South Africa Michell Marsh made his T20 and ODI debuts. He also made his Test debut in 2014 against Pakistan thanks to his solid play in the shorter format.

Mitchell Marsh Controversies

Mitchell Marsh of Australia an all-rounder was incorrectly called out during Saturday's Big Bash League (BBL) match between the Perth Scorchers and the Sydney Sixers at the Manuka Oval and he did not hold back in voicing his disappointment.

The event took place in Steve O'Keefe's thirteenth over of the first innings. The spinner had bowled one on the pads on the penultimate delivery of that over as Marsh tried to push the ball down the leg side. But while he and the Sixers made an appeal for caught behind he ultimately missed the ball which fell into stumper Josh Phillipe's mitts.

The on-field umpire immediately raised his finger. The middle-order batsman who was still at the batting crease was visibly upset by the choice and was seen acting out of anger. He then took a long walk back to the dugout while verbally abusing the umpire in the heat of the moment.
The ball had not even come close to making contact with the bat and there was a sizable space between the pad and the bat according to replays.
