When he was given the chance to work with his hero Dilip Kumar and to appear in Kranti a film depicting the struggle for Indian freedom in the 19th century in 1981 Kumar had achieved the pinnacle of his career. His final significant and lucrative Hindi film was Kranti.

Rich young guy from Agra Kishore was happily wed to the lovely and unassuming Shanta and was also the delighted father of a young daughter named Kamla. Kishore only had one complaint about his wife: that she was old-fashioned. Lekhraj Bhakri is the director. The actors are Chandrashekhar Vaidya Manoj Kumar Mala Sinha and Pradeep Kumar.

Upkar (1967)

In 1967 Manoj Kumar directed the Indian Hindi film Upkar. In 1967 the movie dominated the box office. It was Manoj Kumar's first film to direct. Then Lal Bahadur Shastri the prime minister of India requested that Kumar make a movie on our farmers and warriors. It was the year's highest-grossing film. It is regarded as a classic movie.

The 1965 conflict served as the setting for the movie which honored rural life and the nation's farmers and soldiers. It received appreciation for acting photography music and lyrics.

Asha Parekh who plays a doctor preaching family planning Kamini Kaushal and Pran who plays a positive character for the first time are also featured in the film. The primary antagonist was expertly commandingly and with ease played by Madan Puri. Several prestigious awards went to the movie.

Purab Aur Paschim (1970)

Indian drama movie Purab Aur Paschim from 1970. Manoj Kumar Saira Banu Ashok Kumar Pran and Prem Chopra play the key roles in the Manoj Kumar-produced and -directed film. Kalyanji Anandji composed the music. This movie served as the model for Namastey London from 2007. This was one of Manoj Kumar's four films on patriotism and the second movie in which he played Bharat (the first was Upkar).

Bharat is astonished to see that the Indians in Britain avoid India and Indians when he travels there to study. He decides to impart Indian principles to them on his own.

Roti Kapada Aur Makaan (1974)

Manoj Kumar wrote produced and directed the 1974 Indian Hindi-language action drama movie Roti Kapada Aur Makaan. The Hindi expression which refers to the bare requirements of existence was made popular in the late 1960s by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in advance of the 1967 general elections and it serves as the inspiration for the film's title.

In the movie Bharat (Manoj Kumar) who is having financial difficulties tries to support his family. Amitabh Bachchan plays Bharat's brother Vijay in the movie along with Zeenat Aman as Sheetal Bharat's love interest Moushumi Chatterjee as Tulsi a friend of Bharat who lives in poverty and Shashi Kapoor as the wealthy industrialist Mohan Babu. It was remade into the Telugu film Jeevana Poratam and it is still regarded as one of the best Bollywood movies of its time and one of the most influential.

Kranti (1981)

Kranti which translates to Revolution is a 1981 Indian historical drama movie that Manoj Kumar produced and directed. Salim-Javed wrote the story and the screenplay for the movie. Dilip Kumar who plays the title role is joined by Manoj Kumar Shashi Kapoor Shatrughan Sinha Hema Malini and Parveen Babi in key roles by the film's ensemble cast. When ticket price inflation is taken into account it is among the top ten biggest-grossing Indian movies of all time. When adjusted for inflation it became by far the top-grossing Indian movie of the 1980s decade. It was one of the most expensive Indian movies at the time. The greatest Indian patriotic film ever is Kranti. After Sholay it was the second-highest-grossing Indian movie of all time.

The story of the struggle for independence from the British between 1825 and 1875 is told in the movie which is set in 19th-century British India. The story of Sanga (Dilip Kumar) Bharat (Manoj Kumar) also known as Kranti a prince (Shashi Kapoor) and a freedom warrior is told in the movie (Shatrughan Sinha). Sanga is a trustworthy and devoted worker for the Ramgarh kingdom and his only allegiance and loyalty is to Raja Laxman Singh. When Laxman Singh grants the British a limited license to use the port for business Sangha discovers that the British are bringing in and taking out gold and jewelry as well as ammunition and stops them.

He finds Laxman Singh dead after going to tell him about this injustice. Sanga is accused of treason and the murder of Laxman Singh. After being given a death sentence he escapes and gathers a group of rebels with the sole purpose of expelling the British from India. With the common goal of an independent India also known as Kranti this group multiplies into numerous armies. The movie is well-known for featuring a naked Parveen Babi.
