Biography

Manasvi Mamgai is an Indian model, actor, activist, and former winner of beauty pageants. She represented India in Miss World 2010 after winning the title of Femina Miss India 2010. She was crowned Miss Tourism International 2008 and Miss India Tourism International in the past.

Manasvi was appointed Indian Ambassador to the Republican Hindu Coalition in 2016.

Family

On October 10, 1989, Manasvi was born to Indian American industrialist Salabh Kumar of Chicago and her early caretaker, Prabha Mamgai. Manasvi was born in Delhi, relocated to Chandigarh later in life, and her mother is from Uttrakhand. 

Career

In 2006, she made her runway debut at India Fashion Week after winning Elite Model Look India. She took home the 2008 Miss Tourism International title. She represented India at the 2010 Miss World beauty pageant, which was held in China, after winning Miss India 2010. She placed among the top 8 contestants in the 2010 Dancing of the World Miss World Finale. She has since shot numerous ads and walked the catwalk for numerous renowned Indian designers. Additionally, she has done photo shoots for prestigious Indian and international publications including Code of Style, New Face, Elle, Femina, Vogue, and Verve.

Manasvi attended Actor Prepares, Anupam Kher's acting academy in Mumbai. She performed in the critically acclaimed movement-based production LIMBO in 2012. It was screened in Paris and on display at the Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai.

She starred opposite Ajay Devgn as the antagonist Marina in the Prabhu Deva-directed Eros International studio film Action Jackson in 2014. Manasvi and her troupe from Action Jackson made an appearance on the well-known Indian comedy show Comedy Nights with Kapil. She presented at the 2015 Filmfare Awards and received a nomination for Best Debutant. 

Manasvi is presently pursuing a career in acting and producing while residing in Los Angeles. The American game program The Price Is Right recently had a winner in her.

In 2023, she portrayed Juhi Bhatia in Disney+ Hotstar's The Trial. She was a wild-card entry into Season 17 of the reality game program Bigg Boss in October of 2023.
