Mahima Makwana as she reflects on her struggling days said in an interview at Mehboob Studios ‘Because I lost my father when I was born one of the reasons I entered the industry was to run the kitchen and the home. You may not be aware of this but my mother was an uneducated single mother.

As a result, you know it was very challenging for her to care for the family because as a woman and a single parent you also have to deal with a lot of scrutiny or societal perceptions. She had to deal with a lot of remarks and comments. We were also going through a financial crisis. 

Therefore I am aware that I have started  from scratch which makes me value things more because life happened to me too quickly.’

Career

She began going to auditions at the age of 10 for various modelling and acting roles. She appeared in several TV commercials as a child actor. She made her acting debut in a minor role in the 2008 Hindi TV series 'Mohe Rang De.' Then in 2009, she made guest appearances as a young actor in well-known TV series like 'Balika Vadhu' as young Gauri Singh and 'Miley Jab Hum Tum' as young Nupur Bhushan.

She made her acting debut in 2012 as the lead in the well-known Hindi TV series 'Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke ' in which she portrayed Rachna Tripathi. Her performance in the TV show helped her immensely in terms of popularity.

The following year Mahima Makwana made guest appearances in TV shows like 'CID' (2012), 'Aahat' (2012), 'Code Red' (2015), and 'Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya' (2015). Adhuri Kahaani Hamari (2015), Rishton Ka Chakravyuh (2017), Mariam Khan - Reporting Live (2018), and Shubharambh 2019 are a few of her Hindi TV series in which she plays the lead.

In 2021 she appeared in the Telugu film 'Mosagallu.' She made her acting debut the same year as Manda in the Hindi film 'Antim: The Final Truth ' which starred Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma. It is said that Indian television actress Avika Gora had previously been offered Mahima's part in the film. In the 2019 Hindi short film 'Take 2 ' she played Natasha.
