She began working as a copywriter for Razorfish Neev in May 2014. 

In the same year she made her television debut on the show Son of Abish hosted by Abish Mathew. Kusha Kapila worked as a fashion editor for the Times Internet in 2016. Kusha Kapila later worked as a content writer for iDiva. She created and played the fictional character Billi Massi while working for iDiva and she became an Internet sensation as a result of her success.
