He is known for his numerous tracks, which have charted on the UK Asian chart published by the Official Charts Company, while seven have charted on the Global YouTube music chart.
Karan Aujla born in Ghurala, Ludhiana, originally worked as a songwriter for Jassi Gill’s “Range”. Then he emigrated to Canada and wrote lyrics for various other artists, including Deep Jandu and Elly Mangat.

Karan Aujla was born in Punjab. His parents, Balwinder Singh Aujla and Rajinder Kaur, died when he was nine years old. After their passing, he was raised by his two elder sisters and uncle. While studying in 9th standard, Aujla met Jassi Gill at a marriage ceremony and offered him the lyrics of the song Range, which Gill sang and which became popular. Aujla received his Canadian permanent residency and emigrated there, where he completed his high school studies in Burnaby, Canada.

Karan Aujla and Sidhu Moose Wala had an infamous rivalry, often replying to each other through diss tracks and social media posts. Both artists were criticized for promoting violence in their songs. The dispute reportedly began when a video by Sidhu targeting Aujla was leaked to Aujla's management, who then allegedly threatened retaliation. Aujla released "Lafaafe" with Sanam Bhullar, which was seen as a dig at Moose Wala, prompting Moose Wala to release his diss track "Warning Shots." Aujla later clarified in an interview that he didn’t write "Lafaafe" and refrained from addressing the rivalry publicly. Despite their differences, Aujla paid tribute to Moose Wala after his death with the heartfelt song "Maa."
In November 2019, Aujla was investigated for five traffic violations, including not wearing a seatbelt, lane jumping, and playing loud music, while arriving in Chandigarh.
During a concert at DAV College in Chandigarh, police instructed Aujla not to perform songs promoting violence, guns, or drugs, which he complied with.
Aujla faced criticism for violating security and COVID-19 protocols during a visit to Ludhiana Central Jail. Allegations surfaced that he met drug kingpin Gurdeep Rano. However, Jail Superintendent Rajiv Arora clarified that Aujla’s visit was personal and only involved a brief meeting at his official residence.
After the release of the song "Sharab" from his album Bacthafucup, Aujla faced backlash for comparing women to alcohol, drugs, and guns. A complaint was filed, but the issue was resolved amicably through communication with the complainant.
Ahead of a show in Chandigarh, Professor Pandit Rao Dharennavar filed a complaint against Aujla for promoting harmful content in his songs, urging him not to perform tracks like "Chitta Kurta" and "Gangsta." He also threatened legal action if Aujla disregarded the request.
In June 2019, Aujla was reportedly attacked in Canada by the gang of Sukhpreet Singh Budda, allegedly due to a dispute involving ransom demands. However, Aujla dismissed the rumors as baseless.In February 2022, gangster Harry Chatha's group attempted an attack on Aujla in Canada, citing his violent song themes as the reason.
Initially friends, Aujla and Moose Wala’s fallout escalated with diss tracks like "Lafaafe" and "Warning Shots." Elly Mangat, a mutual associate, disclosed that threats and leaked videos fueled their animosity. Despite their feud, Aujla later praised Moose Wala’s work.
