Kalyani Priyadarshan is an Indian actress who primarily works in Malayalam Tamil and Telugu movies. 

She started her acting career in the Telugu film Hello as an assistant production designer (2017). For her performance she was given the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and the SIIMA Award for Best Telugu Female Debut.

Hridayam (2022)

Vineeth Sreenivasan wrote and directed the coming-of-age romantic drama movie Hridayam in the Malayalam language in 2022. It was co-produced by Noble Babu Thomas through Big Bang Entertainments and Visakh Subramaniam through Merryland Cinemas. Pranav Mohanlal Kalyani Priyadarshan and Darshana Rajendran are the movie's main actors. 

Merryland Studio one of Kerala's first film studios is back in the business with Hridayam. The movie brought back limited edition vinyl records and audio cassettes in India. The movie was filmed in Chennai India at KCG College of Technology.

Maanaadu (2021)

Maanaadu is a 2021 science fiction action thriller film written and directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamatchi in the Tamil language. Along with S. A. Chandrasekhar Y. G. Mahendran Karunakaran Premgi Amaren Aravind Akash and Anjena Kirti in supporting parts the movie stars Silambarasan S. J. Suryah and Kalyani Priyadarshan. 

The movie centres on a regular person and a police officer who are caught in a time loop on the day of the chief minister's public conference and made to live the same day repeatedly.

The majority of the filming took place in Chennai with shoot schedules in Pondicherry Yercaud and Hosur. On November 25 2021 Maanaadu received a worldwide theatrical release. Both critics and viewers gave it favourable reviews praising the cast's acting (especially S.J. Suryah and STR) the director's direction the narrative approach the action scenes and the technical features (soundtrack editing and others). 

Many newspapers hailed the movie as one of the best Tamil films of 2021 for its successful integration of the time-loop idea with commercial components. Both critically and financially it was deemed a box office success.

Hero (2019)

The 2019 superhero movie Hero was written by Pon Parthiban Savari Muthu and Antony Bhagyaraj and directed by P. S. Mithran. Kotapadi J. Rajesh produced the movie through his production company KJR Studios. The stars included are Sivakarthikeyan Arjun Sarja Kalyani Priyadarshan Ivana and Abhay Deol. Kalyani Priyadarshan and Abhay Deol made their Tamil film debuts in this movie.

The movie had a broad release on December 20 2019. Filmmaker Bosco Prabhu charged Mithran with stealing his plot before the film's debut. The Madras High Court imposed an interim order prohibiting the movie in April 2020.

The movie was removed from Amazon Prime Video after the Madras High Court granted an interim order prohibiting it from being broadcast or streamed on television or online. In May 2020 after the problem was rectified the ban was lifted. 
The cast performance (especially that of Sivakarthikeyan Arjun and Abhay Deol) soundtrack cinematography VFX and action scenes all garnered positive reviews for the movie. The movie's pacing script and characters however came under criticism.

Chitralahari (2019)

The 2019 Indian Telugu comedy-drama Chitralahari was written and directed by Kishore Tirumala and it was made by Mythri Movie Makers. Sai Dharam Tej Kalyani Priyadarshan and Nivetha Pethuraj are the movie's main actors; other actors who appear in supporting parts include Sunil Vennela Kishore Posani Krishna Murali and Brahmaji. 

Devi Sri Prasad wrote the music Karthik Ghattamaneni shot the movie and A. Sreekar Prasad did the editing. The movie debuted on April 12 2019 to mixed to favourable reviews and it was a financial success.
