Biography

Jiya Shankar is an Indian actress best known for her roles in Meri Hanikarak Biwi as Dr. Iravati Ira Pandey and Kaatelal & Sons as Susheela Ruhail Solanki. She was also a co-host of Good Night India on SAB TV. She was recently seen in the Marathi film Ved. She competed in Bigg Boss OTT 2 as a contestant. Her name is among the supposed contestants in Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 14.

Later the same year, she starred in the Tamil film Kanavu Variyam alongside Arun Chidambaram. She made her television debut as Alisha Rai in Bindass' Love by Chance in 2015, with Karan Singhmar.

She made her television debut in 2016 as one of the leads, Shreya Dixit Rathore, in &TV's Queens Hain Hum. Jiya most recently appeared in Sab TV's Kaatelal & Sons as Susheela Ruhail Solanki, opposite Paras Arora. In the Colours TV drama Pishachini, she has been playing Pavitra alongside Harsh Rajput since August 2022.

She was recently featured in Ved as Nisha Katkar, with Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh. The romantic thriller drama film had grossed 75 crore at the box office as of January 2023. She was recognised for her moving acting abilities as well as being a new face in the Marathi cinema industry. Shankar is currently competing in the game reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2.

Ved

Ved is a 2022 Indian Marathi-language love drama film directed by Riteish Deshmukh and produced by Genelia D'Souza, both of whom also star. Ashok Saraf and Jiya Shankar appear in supporting roles. It is a remake of the 2019 Telugu language romantic drama Majili.

From 16 November 2020 until 27 August 2021, Sony SAB aired the Indian television series Kaatelal & Sons. Contiloe Entertainment produced the film, which starred Jiya Shankar, Megha Chakraborty, Ashok Lokhande, Sachin Chaudhary, Sahil Phull, and Vinay Rohrra. Pishachini

Pishachini is an Indian Hindi-language television supernatural drama series that aired on Colours TV from August 8, 2022 until January 13, 2023. It is available digitally on Voot. It stars Nyra Banerjee, Jiya Shankar, and Harsh Rajput and is produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms and MAJ Productions. The story is set in Bareilly, where a lovely girl (really a Pishachini) named Rani wants vengeance against the Rajput family for moving on her property.
