Elisabet Avramidou Granlund professionally known by the name Elli AvrRam is a Swedish-Greek actress who grew up in Tyresö Kommun Stockholm and currently resides in Mumbai India. She is best known for her role in the Hindi film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. AvrRam rose to popularity after appearing in the Indian reality television show Bigg Boss in 2013.

Elli had a cameo appearance in the Koi Jaane Na film song Har Funn Maula alongside Aamir Khan. She AvrRam made her Bollywood debut as the lead in the 2013 film Mickey Virus directed by Saurabh Varma.

From a young age AvrRam developed a love in singing dancing and figure skating. Her mother and aunt who own a theatre in Skne County Sweden gave AvrRam acting lessons. Since she was a young child AvrRam has had a connection to India.

She claimed in an interview with the Stockholm tabloid Mitt I that she had been fascinated by Indian dancing and bright garments even when she was five. She discovered that certain Greek songs had Indian-inspired tunes because her father is a Greek musician. AvrRam has wanted to be a Bollywood actor since she was a young girl. Elli would visit a video store in Stockholm where Hindi movies were once sold and purchase Bollywood movies there. She also utilized YouTube to view Hindi movies.

Elli Avram’s Career

Elli joined the Stockholm-based Pardesi Dance Group at the age of 17 and began performing dances to Bollywood songs. AvrRam has been in a few Swedish films the most notable of which was the December 2008 crime drama romance film Förbjuden Frukt in which she played Selen the lead character's teen girlfriend. The film is set in a world of violent crime and she falls in love with a boy who has a criminal past. AvrRam competed in the Miss Greece beauty pageant in 2010. She also made an appearance on the Swedish television show Gomorron Sverige.

AvrRam went to Mumbai on a tourist visa in September 2012 to pursue an acting career in Bollywood. In an interview with N Magazine she stated that when Elli was 14 she had a TV in my room and watched Devdas which is about four hours long and she didn't move the entire time. Elli thought to herself Wow she wanted to act and dance like that. She aspired to make Bollywood films." She joined a modelling agency and immediately received a work visa. The agency assisted her in securing auditions. The first significant job she was able to secure was a TV commercial for Eveready Industries India starring prominent Indian actor Akshay Kumar. AvrRam the first Swedish actress to work in Bollywood is well-known for having an appearance that is strikingly similar to that of Katrina Kaif.

Elli Avram’s First Movie Mickey Virus (2013)

Saurabh Varma is the writer and director of the 2013 Indian comedy-thriller movie Mickey Virus. Main characters in the movie include Manish Paul Elli Avram Manish Choudhary Puja Gupta and Varun Badola. The plot of the movie revolves around Mickey who is a side hustle hacker that assists Kamayani the woman he loves in undoing an online transaction by breaking into the website of her business.

Unfortunately he unintentionally pulls off a $15 million robbery. Elli finally got her big break when she landed the lead role in Saurabh Varma's comedy thriller Mickey Virus. AvrRam recollected that the photographer who took pictures of her knew a director who was looking for a girl for a lead role. She had called him and arrived at his studio to audition for his film. She said that when she auditioned for Mickey Virus Elli asked the director to email her the screenplay so she could memorize the lines because she didn't know Hindi yet. 

She was provided four pages of dialogue and there was no one who could instruct her how to pronounce certain words. Although they appreciated her acting during the audition they didn't like her accent. She was chosen from among 200 candidates for the short list and outperformed the others.  When AvrRam told the filmmaker that her mother had previously worked with Ingmar Bergman he had a dramatic reaction saying "What!" Have they worked before? They were amazed beyond belief. AvrRam has received professional training in dancing technique and Hindi pronunciation in preparation for her Bollywood debut. She plays the part of Kamayani George Mickey Virus's love interest in this movie. The movie which was made in Delhi came out on October 25 2013.

Bigg Boss: Jannat Ka Wow Aur Jahannam Ka Aaw Dekhege popularly known as Bigg Boss 7 The seventh season of the Indian reality TV show Bigg Boss often known as Saath Saath or just Bigg Boss premiered on the television network Colors TV on September 15 2013 with Salman Khan serving as host once more.

On December 28 2013 Indian actress and model Gauahar Khan won the series. Tanishaa Mukerji finished second Ajaz Khan finished third and Sangram Singh finished fourth.

Elli Avram’s Movie Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon (2015)

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon which was produced and directed by Abbas Mustan in 2015. The movie caused controversy since it kept the names of Hindu gods. With this film actors Sai Lokur and Jamie Lever made their Bollywood debuts in addition to stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma. Arbaaz Khan Manjari Fadnis Simran Kaur Mundi Elli Avram Varun Sharma Supriya Pathak Sharat Saxena Manoj Joshi and Sharad Sankla are additional cast members.

When Kumar Shiv Ram Kishan attempts to assist a woman in need he eventually gets married to her. He learns that his three wives all reside in the same building and have been invited to his fourth wedding as he is now engaged to his girlfriend.

After Kodi and Pattas his brother Dhanush makes an appearance in a dual character for the third time in this movie. Following Mayakkam Enna Dhanush and Selvaraghavan are reunited in Naane Varuvean. 

Yuvan Shankar Raja wrote the soundtrack for the movie. Om Prakash shot it while Bhuvan Srinivasan edited it. On September 29 2022 the movie was theatrically released and reviewers gave it high marks. Elli made her debut in the Tamil film Industry through this film. She played the role as Madhuri Kathir's wife in the movie.

The family comedy-drama film Goodbye was written and directed by Vikas Bahl in the year 2022. It was also produced by Bahl Viraj Savant Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the names of their respective companies Good Co Balaji Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Pvt Ltd. Amitabh Bachchan Rashmika Mandanna and Neena Gupta are the movie's main actors.

A forthcoming Hindi-language dystopian action movie titled Ganapath: Part 1 is directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Jackky Vashu and Deepshikha Bhagnani under the umbrella of Pooja Entertainment. Alongside Tiger Shroff Amitabh Bachchan and Kriti Sanon it has Tiger Shroff in the lead role.

The movie endured a protracted laborious pre-production phase after its announcement in November 2020.
