The series portrays the life of Manikarnika, a courageous female warrior who eventually becomes Rani Lakshmi Bai. The story commences with Manikarnika stealing the British flag and replacing it with the flag of her nation, which infuriates the British. Consequently, they initiate a search for the person responsible for burning their flag.

As the story progresses, Manikarnika embarks on a journey that leads her to marry King Gangadhar Rao of Jhansi, which grants her the authority to fight for the independence of Jhansi and the rest of India. She ascends to the throne as the Queen of Jhansi, ruling over one of the wealthiest kingdoms, while still under British rule. Despite the societal restrictions placed on women during that era, she fearlessly battles both traitors to Jhansi and the British regime.

Baal Veer

PlayAn Indian fantasy television program called Baal Veer debuted on SAB TV on October 8, 2012. Dev Joshi played the title role in it. Rohit Malhotra wrote the screenplay, and Optimystix Entertainment produced it.

After 1,111 episodes, the program ended its run on November 4, 2016.  It is the first installment to the Baalveer franchise and is followed by two sequels, Baalveer Returns and Baalveer 3.
