Recently, he was seen playing Rasool Sheikh in Asur- Welcome to Your Dark Side and Asur 2 and Kushal in season 2 of Sacred Games.

Amey got married to his spouse Sajiri Deshpande on July 2, 2017.  Amey and his wife Sajiri dated each other and had an affair for 13 years before marrying. The couple tied the knot at at Shrutimangal, Pune.

Struggles

In the initial years amey felt the struggle of getting work. He used to travel to Mumbai regularly for auditions and even did role of an older man. Amey also faced rejections just like many actors in his journey to where he is now. He used to choose different roles deliberately. Amey believes that no has ever escaped struggle.

Career

Amey is a member of the Natak Company which is a  theatre group. He tried out for the part of Chatur in the 2009 film 3 Idiots but was turned down. He appeared in the 2012 film Aiyyaa as Nana, marking his Bollywood debut.

Aaicha Gondhal (2008), directed by Sangeeta Pusalkar and starring Kuldip Pawar as his father and Nirmiti Sawant as his mother, served as his first marathi film. He appeared in the English play The Government Inspector in 2014. Additionally, he appeared in Dil Dosti Duniyadari and its sequel Dil Dosti Dobara, two well-known Marathi TV series. Along with Pushkaraj Chirputkar, he co-hosted the Zee Marathi Awards 2015—Utsav Natyancha Aplya Maitricha.

In 2018, he served as the host of the program Super Dancer Maharashtra. Alongside Suvrat Joshi, he co-hosted the 2018 Jio Filmfare Awards Marathi. He is a member of the Bharatiya Digital Party YouTube channel, where he hosts the celebrity conversation program Casting Couch with Amey & Nipun.In 2018, he was listed as the fifth most attractive man by the Times of India-Pune.
