The South Indian film industry's artistic and technical accomplishments are honoured each year at the IIFA Utsavam. The celebration, which honours Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films, is put on by Wizcraft International, the organization behind the IIFA Awards.
The ceremony was established in 2016, delaying the event from December 2015 due to floods in South India. On two different days, the Awards are presented in two distinct portions. The most promising up-and-coming South Indian film artists from the Tamil and Malayalam film industries are honoured on the first day.
In contrast, Telugu and Kannada film industry artists and technicians are honoured on the second day. A committee of seasoned artists and industry experts chooses the Award nominees, and the public votes to determine the winner.

The IIFA Awards team revealed in October 2015 that they would launch a platform called IIFA Utsavam to recognize the accomplishments of the South Indian film industry. The first show was scheduled between December 4 and December 6 in Hyderabad. The 2015 Chennai floods forced the postponement of the program, which Andre Timmins of the IIFA Management confirmed will take place as a fundraiser instead on December 3, 2015.
The event was subsequently moved and hosted on January 24 and 25, with the money going to aid in the relief efforts for the 2015 Chennai floods. The producers organized the FICCI-IIFA Media & Entertainment business summit to bring business and entertainment together as part of the opening ceremony. Guest speakers were Ramesh Sippy and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Before bringing the exhibition overseas, the organizers announced that the next two years' shows would be held in Hyderabad.
The first IIFA Utsavam ceremony, which honored the winners and nominations of the greatest South Indian films of 2015, took place on January 24 and 25, 2016, at Hyderabad's Gachibowli Athletic Stadium.
The IIFA Utsavam's inaugural event honored the most significant work produced in the four industries between late 2014 and 2015. It gave awards to technicians and performers who worked in the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.
The second IIFA Utsavam ceremony honored the winners and nominations of the greatest South Indian films of 2016, and took place in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, on March 28 and 29.
The IIFA Utsavam, in its second year, honors the most excellent work produced in the four sectors in 2016 and awards to technicians and performers who work in the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.
IIFA Utsavam is organized by the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting Indian cinema globally.
The awards show was first held in 2015 in Hyderabad, India, and has since grown in popularity, attracting the biggest stars in Bollywood.
The awards ceremony has been held in several cities across India, including Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Jaipur.
IIFA Utsavam awards are voted on by a panel of industry experts, including film critics, producers, directors, and the public, who can vote by casting their votes online.
The awards show features celebrity performances by top Bollywood actors and actresses, adding to the excitement and entertainment of the event.
The awards ceremony has been hosted by some of the biggest names in the south Indian entertainment industry, including N.T. Rama Rao Jr., Allu Arjun, Vijay Deverakonda, Ram Charan, Samantha Ruth, Anushka Shetty, and many more.
IIFA Utsavam is one of the largest celebrations of Indian cinema and is a testament to the hard work and dedication of those in the film industry.
The IIFA Utsavam trophy is a symbol of excellence and recognition in the Indian film industry and is highly sought after by winners in various categories.
The awards show is known for its grand spectacle and is attended by thousands of people each year, including fans, industry professionals, and the media.
IIFA Utsavam provides a platform for recognition and appreciation of the efforts of those in the Indian film industry and helps to promote Indian cinema globally.
