Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli direct The Fame Game, an Indian Hindi-language family thriller drama streaming on Netflix. Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Gagan Arora, Suhasini Mulay, Lakshvir Saran, and Muskkaan Jaferi appear in the series, which is produced by Karan Johar and Somen Mishra under the label Dharmatic Entertainment.

Anamika Anand is a Bollywood actress with a dazzling career and a seemingly perfect family, but her personal life is more complicated than what meets the eye. Nikhil More, her husband, abuses her physically and verbally. While her daughter Amara strives to be a famous celebrity like her mother, exposing nepotism in today's Bollywood, her son Avi has his own challenges to deal with, including his sexuality. Anamika's mother, on the other hand, constantly criticises her and the rest of the family and uses deceptive tactics to attain her objectives. Manish Khanna, a frequent co-star and former lover, is her sole refuge.

The Fame Game received positive response from critics and audiences alike, with everyone praising the performances of Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Kapoor in particular. The story was also well received by most audience and this, with a cliffhanger ending to the series, makes season 2 of The Fame Game an almost certainty.
