What would happen if two people had identical palm lines and the same fate? A young guy named Kumar Mahajan's life transforms as a result of his search for Sudarshan Chakrapani, a man who has the same fate as him, in the novel Samantar. Chakrapani has already experienced the life that Kumar is currently leading. After meeting Chakrapani, would Kumar be able to influence his present or alter his future? Starring Swwapnil Joshi,Tejaswini Pandit,Sai Tamhakar,Amrut Gaikwad and Nitish Bharadwaj.

Atheist Kumar Mahajan's life is not going well, so his buddy Sharad Wabgaonakr brings him to a Swami, who tells him about his past. At first, he thinks Sharad must have helped him, but he eventually realises that the Swami is telling him things that not even Sharad is aware of. Swami objects when he sees Kumar's palm because he had already seen it, but Kumar berates Swami and claims they had never met. In order to influence his future by foreseeing it, Kumar discovers that Sudrashan Chakrapani was the person who met Swami many years ago and shared his fortune. He then decides to track down this person.

Our narrative starts with Kumar Mahajan, a 33-year-old lower middle class man, striving to make ends meet. He is having trouble taking care of his wife and meeting his son's requests. Frustrated, he chooses to consult an astrologer to learn about his destiny under the influence of his friend Sharad. Tragic events occur when he learns that the astrologer has predicted a similar hand a few years prior. The astrologer is furious because he withholds any additional information about his life or destiny. He hasn't read Kumar's future, and he won't read Chakrapani's either because both of them are ruthless and depraved characters.

This doesn't sit well with Kumar, who then fights angrily with the astrologer and challenges him to meet Sudarshan Chakrapani one day to learn about his present and future. Kumar makes the decision to find Sudarshan Chakrapani in an effort to find out what would happen in his life next and get control over it. Soon, a tense adventure begins as Kumar starts looking for all the leads connected to Chakrapani. He eventually meets Sudarshan Chakrapani after a few unexpected turns of events. The man is astounded to meet someone who has lived a mirror-image life to him.

Their life tragedies, childhood scars, and grief and anguish are a great match. Kumar receives a set of diaries from Sudarshan Chakrapani after he confirms all the happenings. He has recorded every day of his life in each diary, but he only agrees to give Kumar access to them under one restriction. In order to learn about his destiny, Kumar Mahajan must read just one page per day. Kumar accepts and brings the journals with him. He believes he is on top of the world now that he has what he always desired and control over his own fate.

However, life has other plans for Kumar; he will soon learn that a new woman is coming to join his life. The main plot of Samantar's first season is whether Kumar will succeed in getting what he wants or whether he will be able to overcome all obstacles placed in his path.
