Saab Bahadar is a 2017 Punjabi crime thriller movie directed by Amrit Raj Chadha and produced by Gunbir Singh Sandhu and Manmord Sandhu along with Zee Studios. It was released on 26 May 2017 and has a star cast of Ammy Virk, Jaswinder Bhalla, Rana Ranbir, Prreit Kamal and Gurmeet Saajan, among others. It is the first Punjabi mystery thriller movie to come out of the Punjabi movie industry and has an IMDb rating of 7 out of 10.

The police officer Kuldeep Singh, also known as Saab Bahadar, serves as the basis for the plot of the film Saab Bahadar. According to the Saab Bahadar review, the film is set in the early 1990s in a Punjabi village and tells the narrative of sub-inspector Kuldeep Singh. Ammy Virk is portraying Kuldeep Singh, known to the villagers as Saab Bahadar for his truthfulness, decency, and repute. Kuldeep enjoyed reading mystery books since they gave him the motivation to carry out his duties.

On the other hand, Ammy Virk's character has a crush on a stunning woman who is the landlord of the home where the police station is located and who wants to be a dancer. Although Saab Bahadar gets into a lighthearted argument with the woman since she does not at all want a police station in her house. But the plot twist occurs when the village reports multiple murders and suicides, and Saab Bahadar solves the puzzle of the mysterious killings in the otherwise quiet village.
