Manish Gupta is the director of the 2015 Indian murder mystery movie Rahasya. Kay Kay Menon, Tisca Chopra, Ashish Vidyarthi, Mita Vashisht, and Ashwini Kalsekar, and Fardia Dadi are among the movie's stars. The 2008 Noida double homicide case, which Rajesh and Nupur Talwar criticised, served as the basis for the movie. The movie had a successful debut on January 30, 2015, according to reviewers.
Housekeeper Remy Fernandes (Ashwini Kalsekar), who works in Dr. Sachin Mahajan's (Ashish Vidyarthi) opulent Mumbai duplex apartment, is seen praying there. Remy knocks on the door of Ayesha's room while carrying a cup of tea. Ayesha is the Dr. Sachin's 18-year-old daughter. Remy enters the room and discovers Ayesha's lifeless body on the bed with no response.
She screams in horror and summons Dr. Sachin and the police. Sachin claims he was so inebriated the night before that he has no memory of anything. Dr. Aarti, Ayesha's mother, is horrified to learn the news when she gets home from Pune. Since Ayesha's death, Remy informs the police that the family's other servant, Chetan, who has a criminal history, has also vanished. Ayesha had a boyfriend named Riyaz and was pregnant, it is also made known. Dr. Sachin is taken into prison by the police after evidence from the early phases of the investigation convinced the investigators that he is the main suspect. Officer Sunil Paraskar takes over when the case is turned over to the CBI. Having doubts about the evidence, he launches a new investigation.
He quickly learns that Brinda (Mita Vashisht), a former actress who is wed to Sachin's work colleague Hansal, is having an extramarital affair with Sachin. The relationship and the couple's frequent stays in a five-star hotel are known to Hansal. He once sees Ayesha and Riyaz in the same hotel as Sachin and Brinda while trailing them. As he watches his daughter, Sachin urges Ayesha to end her relationship with Riyaz. Even after the two part ways, Riyaz keeps breaking into Ayesha's home while her parents are gone. One night, Hansal, who lives in the building across from the Mahajans, watches Riyaz enter the home and contacts Sachin on purpose to let him know. Sachin strikes Riyaz with a knife when intoxicated and out of control, cutting him on the arm.
Ayesha smacks her father in the head in an effort to save Riyaz, and he loses consciousness. The two bring Sachin to his room in a state of panic and put him to bed. Ayesha drifts off to sleep as Riyaz exits. As a result, Paraskar is persuaded that Sachin is not the murderer. A well-known attorney that Brinda hires is successful in having Sachin released on bond. Following the verdict of the case, Sachin informs Aarti that he desires a divorce and checks into a hotel with Brinda. Since the murder, Riyaz has been evading capture, and Paraskar is after him. Paraskar and Riyaz are attacked while being questioned, and Riyaz is subsequently discovered dead.
The case is further complicated when Paraskar finds the body of Chetan, the missing servant, hidden beneath the floorboards of the Mahajan residence. Sudhakar Mishra, a relative of Chetan, is also killed shortly after. After further questioning Remy—despite her earlier statements that she had never been in a relationship—it becomes clear that she had previously given birth. The probe is put to rest when he meets her mother, who draws his attention to a picture of a younger Remy. When Sachin's body is discovered in the hotel, the local police come to the conclusion that he committed himself as a result of his guilt over the incident.
Paraskar, who is not persuaded, calls Aarti, Remy, Brinda, Hansal, Riyaz's parents, and local police officers to the Mahajan residence, the scene of Ayesha's murder. He confesses that Ayesha was Remy's daughter rather than Aarti's biological child. When they were younger, Remy and Sachin had an affair, but due to their different social classes, Sachin was unable to wed her. Instead, he wed Aarti. Aarti is infertile, so the couple chose to adopt a kid instead. In an attempt to appear to adopt a child, Sachin brings Remy and his daughter home. Remy is also employed by him as a full-time nanny and maid. Aarti recognises the uncanny resemblance between her daughter and Remy as Ayesha develops and comes to understand the truth.
She plans to frame her spouse when she has the chance as retaliation. As opposed to what Ayesha had stated, Aarti had actually returned the night before she passed away, according to Paraskar. She was responsible for both killing Ayesha and Chetan since he saw her leaving Ayesha's chamber covered in blood. Aarti then pretends to serve Sachin with divorce papers before paying him a visit and killing him to exact her full vengeance. Finally, Paraskar explains that a corrupt local police officer who was being bought off by Aarti killed Riyaz and Sudhakar Mishra. Aarti smirks at a distressed Remy as she is taken into custody, content with the idea that she killed her boyfriend and child.
