Since Rasathi is the child of Paarivendan's friend and her family lack the resources to organise the marriage, her mother Shenbakavalli and her family, along with the family of Rasathi father's friend Paarivendan, have taken the initiative. Rasathi, who is currently hitched and has a child, is fixed by Paarivendan with a man named Shankar. Shankar interrupts the wedding ceremony. Due to Paarivendan, who two days prior to the wedding had an issue with Shankar. Shankar so intended to exact revenge on Paarivendan during the wedding.
Rasathi worries after Shankar departs from there. Realizing that he is to blame for the breakup of the marriage, Paarivendan makes Shenbakavalli promises that his son Iniyan, the best Kabaddi player in the community, will wed Rasathi. Iniyan initially objects to the union since he has feelings for another woman, but his father forces him to agree and wed Rasathi. Everyone in Iniyan's home despises Rasathi, with the exception of Paarivendan, maternal uncle Nesamani, and cousin brother Kumaran. First off, Rasathi is hated by Iniyan's paternal aunt Maragatham, who is the matriarch of Iniyan's family, because of how she looks and because she comes from a middle-class household.
The son of Maragatham, Kumaran, wed Kanmani, a selfish, well-off, and irate girl who was also Rasathi's classmate. She had intended to marry Iniyan because she had fallen in love with him, but Rasathi had already wed him. In order to exact revenge on Rasathi, Kanmani marries Kumaran and enters the scene as Iniyan's sister-in-law. Additionally, after a few days, Kanmani turns Maragatham into a plaything for an intruder. Rasathi is originally disliked by Iniyan's mother Mangai, but after seeing how much her co-sister Maragatham loves her own daughter-in-law Rasathi receives criticism from Kanmani, who then begins to look after her. Daily plans are provided by Kanmani to Maragatham to ensure that Rasathi is constantly under stress and tension. Rasathi needs to solve the issues that they bring up.
Rasathi is consistently rejected by Iniyan, and he won't let her share a bed with him. Additionally, Kanmani and Maragatham divide them. When Mangai learns about this, she decides to bring them together. As the days went by, Iniyan was able to comprehend Rasathi with Mangai's assistance, and they reunited.
Punitha, a Maragatham descendant and Iniyan's cousin, develops feelings for Kabilan, Rasathi's younger brother. Punitha shows her affection in various ways, but Kabilan isn't interested in her either since he worries that it would ruin Rasathi's life. Punitha and Kabilan eventually cross paths in a theme park and discuss their relationship. When a bunch of political party members overhear them talking, they presume they are lovers. They, therefore, propose marriage there. Kabilan and Punitha are horrified and decline to get married. However, the gang of people used a weapon to force Kabilan into marriage. Kabilan then married both Punitha and Mangalyam after tying them together.
Both consider how their families will react when the group leaves the area. So they make the decision to hide their marriage. Eventually, Kanmani finds out about their union and informs Maragatham. The entire family is surprised, and as a result of this, Maragatham becomes enraged with Kabilan and Rasathi and orders them to leave their home. However, Iniyan backs Rasathi and informs Maragatham that he will go with her if she decides to leave. Maragatham is perplexed by Iniyan's manner of communication with her. She claims that Rasathi and Iniyan must depart if Punitha and Kabilan remain. Rasathi and Iniyan depart in order to protect Punitha and Kabilan, despite Paarivendan, Mangai, and Nesamani's best efforts to stop them, bringing the show to an end.
