Childhood friends Varun (Jiiva) and Nithya (Samantha Ruth Prabhu) struggled to understand one another. After having a wonderful talk, they later reconcile during class. In order to be with Nithya, Varun enrolls in her college. Even though they initially quarrel in tiny ways, the two end up falling in love. 

However, Varun's father makes him study for the CAT tests and relocate, which leads to yet another rift between them. The search for Nithya by Varun a year later and everything that happens afterward is the main subject of the film.
