Rohit Khandelwal was crowned as Mr. India 2015. In the Mister World competition, Rohit Khandelwal represented India. He later went on to win the title of Mister World 2016, making history by becoming the first Asian to do so.

Mr. India is a national competition that chooses India's competitors in international beauty pageants. There are a number of national pageants staged annually and every two years. The winner and any runner-ups are also invited to compete in international pageants.

Two of the most important national pageants held are Mister India, which is managed by the Miss India Organization, and the Rubaru Mister India competition. The winners and runners-up from these pageants are sent to represent India at pageants like Manhunt International, Mister World, Mister Supranational, and Mister International.

Currently serving as "Mister World India" is Lucknow native Jitesh Singh Deo. He received his crown in Mumbai on December 14. He is anticipated to represent India at "Mister World 2022," as there wasn't a pageant in 2021 because to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Every year, the event takes place in Mumbai. Each year, 16 participants are chosen from all around India. Two of them have been named Mr. India and Mister Supranational India, respectively. Mr. India will represent India at the biennial international Mister World pageant in Poland, while Mister Supranational India will do the same.
