In Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, there is a fashion event held twice a year called Lakmé Fashion Week. The Winter-Festive exhibition is held in August, while the Summer-Resort event is held in April.

It happened for the first time in 1999.

It is regarded as one of India's top fashion shows. together with India Runway Week and the FDCI's India Fashion Week. Lakmé serves as the title sponsor and IMG Reliance Limited manages and organizes it jointly.

One of the most renowned fashion shows in the world, it featured international models like Naomi Campbell as well as Indian movie stars like Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Deepika Padukone, Malaika Arora Khan, and Arjun Rampal. 

Lakmé Fashion Week has included international brands like Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, and Roberto Cavalli. Ajay Kumar, Manish Malhotra, Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahiliani, and Ritu Beri are among the Indian designers who participated in the event. 

Designers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee have launched their careers as a result of the event. Some of the biggest show-stoppers to date are Kareena Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sushmita Sen, Priyanka Chopra, Isha Shah, Deepika Padukone, and Lisa Haydon.
