It is a touching narrative centered on the bond between Kaku and Rohan, a mother and son. and the contentious romance of the son. After Rohan defaults on a loan due to his business failing in New York, Cheenu and Rohan move back to Bangalore. Cheenu stays in New York. 

Unaware of his predicament, Kaku pays him a visit to show her maternal love for him, but Cheenu wants her to leave because she doesn't like to live with her mother-in-law as a joint family.   Kaku's heart breaks at hearing this. However,  Cheenu soon comes to understand Kaku's sincerity and maternal love. Cheenu learns she is pregnant, as Rohan receives calls about his loan and his office debt on the other side.
