The Haryanvi-speaking film industry in the Indian state of Haryana is known as "Haryanvi cinema."

Dharti, which came out in 1968, was the first Haryanvi movie. The third Haryanvi movie, Bahurani, was released in 1982. The first commercially successful Haryanvi film was this one. Chandrawal, directed by Devi Shankar Prabhakar, became the most popular Haryanvi movie ever and set new box office records two years later, in 1984.

Juhi Chawla, Mallika Sherawat, Badshah, Om puri, Uttar Kumar, Rajkumar Rao, Sapna Lathar, Akash Dixit, Gourav Sarwan, Ameet Chaudhary, etc. are some of the prominent stars from  Haryana.

At the 62nd National Film Awards, the 2014 film Pagdi The Honour won two National Film Awards. For her part in this movie, Baljinder Kaur got the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress, and the movie itself won the award for Best Feature Film in Haryanvi. 

Ajay Soni Buwani Wala and Sonu Sharma Panchhi's debut audio album in the Haryanvi language is titled ‘Chhora Haryane Ka’. Beera Shera, Dharti, Pagdi: The Honour, etc. are some of the most popular Haryanvi movies.
