John Abraham, Tahir Raj Bhasin, and Sonakshi Sinha play the key characters in Abhinay Deo's 2016 Hindi-language action spy thriller Force 2, which also stars Narendra Jha, Nasirr Khan, Adil Hussain, and Raj Babbar in supporting parts. It is a follow-up to the 2011 movie Force and the second entry in the Force movie series.

The movie begins with a stylish montage showing RAW agents in China dying off like flies. The best friend of DCP Yashwardhan, Harsh, is one of the victims. But before being executed, Harish sends a book and a crucial coded message to his pal Yash.

When Yash obtains the book, he finds out about a plot that has been started and that solely targets RAW operatives. When he brings the book and the hints to the RAW head office, the organisation recognises the validity of the issue and assigns Yash the task of finding the conspirator. He works alongside KK, another RAW operative, to find the offender in the Indian embassy in Budapest.

Shiv Sharma, a geeky hacker with greater plans, is the mastermind behind this plot against RAW personnel. Between Shiv, KK, and Yash, a cat-and-mouse game of catching him ensues in Budapest. Despite their best efforts, he consistently manages to elude them. Shiv escapes with each of the subsequent chase sequences.

Shiv is actually a fictitious name used by this terrorist to conceal his true identity as Rudra Pratap Singh, the child of RAW officer Karan Pratap Singh, who was killed in an operation years earlier. DCP Yash discovers this information while researching Shiv's past. After minister Brijesh Yadav labelled Karan and a number of RAW agents as traitors and Rudra's mother killed herself, Rudra was left broken.

Yash discovers that Rudra has turned to RAW for retaliation after betraying Karan. Rudra eventually prepares to shoot Brijesh during a gathering in Budapest. However, KK and Yash arrive just in time and kill him before he can cause any damage. Brijesh is forced to admit his errors in front of the media by Yash, who intervenes before he can pass away and clears Karan's name. Hearing this, Rudra passes away in peace. In the conclusion, Yash is seen feeling the appreciation of his deceased wife, who was portrayed by Genelia D'Souza in Force 1.
