Family No. 1 is a Hindi language comedy-drama TV Show that aired on Sony TV from 1998 to 1999. It was directed by Sameer Kulkarni and produced by Binaifer Kohli and has 123 episodes in it. It stars Kanwaljeet Singh and Asawari Joshi, Kabir Sadanand, Aparna Tilak, Vishal Solanki, Umesh Pherwani, Ajay Nagrath and Niyati Rajwde in lead roles. Asawari Joshi replaced Tanvi Azmi midway through the show as Shalini Potia.

Two single parents with three children each were forced to share a recently rented house in the show. As the children of the two families develop connections and grow closer, both families experience a number of humorous scenarios and the youngsters grow up.

Deepak Malhotra, a divorcee, shares a seaside property with the Potia family where he lives with his three children, Rahul, Rashmi, and Guddu. The Potia family is made up of Shalini Potia, a divorcee, and her three kids, Bharti, Toofaan, and Dheer.

The two families' struggles to coexist in the same home are at the centre of the narrative.
