Eight-year-old Rannvijay Singh resides with his parents, Ratan and Sampooran Singh, the village's Sarpanch. One day, a woman by the name of Amrita knocks on the door and says Sampooran is the father of her daughter. Ratan belittles her, but when Sampooran shows up there, he sides with Amrita. When Ratan notices this, she is devastated and decides to commit suicide by locking herself in a room. 

Sampooran, feeling guilty, leaves the house, and Amrita, holding the kid in her arms, passes away at the door from a terminal disease. Without knowing the past of the adults, Rannvijay adopts the child, gives her the name Veera, and raises her as a mother. She quickly becomes a vibrant and courageous young woman, and he sends her to the city to finish her education.
