Ek Thi Begum Plot

A plot follows a strikingly beautiful woman named Ashraf, also known as Sapna, who is the devoted wife of Zaheer, a former confidant and current arch-rival of Maqsood, the underworld don. Zaheer is killed when the conflict between the rivals reaches an ugly conclusion. Ashraf promises to use her attractiveness, sensuality, and sharp intellect to topple and dismantle Masood's illicit enterprise. The plot of Ek Thi Begum was influenced by actual events.

According to Sachin Darekar the director of this series, Anuja Sathe, the female heroine of Ek Thi Begum, makes the film special. "Most of them [underworld dramas] include predominantly male or masculine content. The primary distinction in this instance is that a woman chooses to fight battles among the guys. Such tales concerning the underworld are uncommon, he said in an interview.
