The 2013 action-thriller movie Dhoom 3 was produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Uday Chopra, Jackie Shroff, and Siddharth Nigam are among the actors who appear in it. It is the third Dhoom movie and the follow-up to Dhoom and Dhoom 2.
The story starts with Iqbal Haroon Khan's "The Great Indian Circus," which was located in Chicago, Illinois, being shut down in 1990 because he is unable to pay back his debt. His young kid, Sahir, implores them to make progress immediately. However, Iqbal is turned down and kills himself in front of Anderson, the callous bank president. In retaliation for what the Western Bank of Chicago did to his father, Sahir robbed many Western Bank of Chicago branches 23 years later. The robbery succeeds in taking place despite all attempts by police authorities, and the suspect escapes.
To assist in resolving the matter, ACP Jai Dixit and Sub-Inspector Ali Khan are called in. By letting Sahir know he's on the investigation and that the robber is a novice, Jai tricks Sahir into committing another theft. Sahir, on the other hand, reopens the Great Indian Circus, which had been put on hold following Iqbal's passing. Aaliya Hussain, a new acrobat in his circus, gets hired there. Sahir pretends to be an undercover operative for Jai and manages to learn details about the bank while providing Jai with a lead. Sahir eventually robs the bank and runs away, but Jai and Ali pursue him. Before Sahir vanishes, Jai shoots him in the left shoulder from atop a helicopter ladder.
The Great Indian Circus, in which Sahir plays the lead acrobat, features a stunt in which he vanishes in one location and reappears in another. After the show, knowing he is the thief, Jai, Ali, and the cops surround him because it was a success. Jai claims that the gunshot wound will serve as evidence, but when Sahir is inspected, there is no sign of a wound anywhere on his body. The identity of Sahir's twin brother, Samar, who was shot by Jai, is subsequently made known. Samar is autistic and assists Sahir in carrying out his heists and stunts.
Ali urges Jai to prove Sahir's guilt by turning rogue when Jai is ousted from the case. When Jai finally learns about Samar, he immediately starts thinking of ways to trap Sahir. Samar is held in isolation by Sahir because of his mental impairment. He does, however, permit Samar to go outside once every week, and Jai is able to become friends with him during this period in order to carry out his plan. After working with Aaliya in the circus, Samar fell in love with her, but she is unable to speak about it. Consequently, there is a split between the brothers. Sahir learns about this and foils Jai's attempt to use it to his advantage.
When Sahir appears under the pretence of Samar, Jai discloses his real identity and begs him to surrender because he can bring them to justice, thinking he is Samar. When Sahir makes himself known, he binds Jai to a roller coaster's track. Ali comes in time to stop him from being crushed when he turns the roller coaster on. He comes to the conclusion that catching the brothers thieving is the only viable option. In their last bank heist, Sahir and Samar succeed and make off.
The next day, Jai is able to surprise them as they are leaving town. When Aaliya appears and begs him to halt, Samar hesitates before continuing to go. When Sahir gives himself over to Jai, he begs him to save Samar. Sahir attempted to jump off the dam as soon as Jai accepts. Samar takes Sahir's hand and won't let go. Sahir implores Samar to reconsider, claiming that he can live happily with Aaliya. Samar, however, maintains that since they were both born together, they ought to die together. Soon Samar slips, and the two of them tumble into the pit while grinning at one another. The heists result in the closure of the Western Bank of Chicago, and Aaliya is shown to have taken control of The Great Indian Circus.
