Desi Boyz is a Hindi romantic comedy movie about Jignesh and Nikhil who lose their jobs and are left with little choice but to work as strippers in order to support themselves. However, their behavior puts their friendship to the test and complicates their romantic relationship.

Nikhil Mathur (John Abraham), an investment banker who works out of England, is dating Radhika Awasthi (Deepika Padukone).  The Social Services Department is closely monitoring his pal Jignesh Patel (Akshay Kumar), a security guard who works at a mall and is the guardian of Veer, his late sister's son. 

Nikhil suffers the effects of the global recession, losing not only his job but also his investments, while Jignesh is sacked for failing to stop a juvenile from stealing. After Jignesh is dismissed from yet another job and Nikhil is unable to find work, the two wind up working as male escorts for "Desi Boyz" as Rocco and Hunter. This arrangement earns them enough money to support themselves. The movie presents how they hide their new job from their near and dear ones.
