Carrom Master

The sport Carrom is a tabletop game that has roots in Indian origin. Any strike and rebound are simply the meanings of the word carrom.

The game has many names in many languages and is especially well-liked on the Indian subcontinent. Numerous bars and cafes regularly host tournaments in South Asia. 

Families, including young children, frequently play carrom together and during social gatherings. There are various standards and regulations in various fields. In the early 20th century, it gained enormous popularity in the UK and the Commonwealth. 

Anthony Maria Irudayam is considered the Carrom Mater of India. S. Ilavazhagi, K. Srinivas, Nishantha Fernando, Rashmi Kumari, Haji Ali Agariya, Ashu Agariya, etc are among the best carrom players in India.

After World War I, carrom became highly well-liked among the general public. By 1958, official carrom club federations had been established in both India and Sri Lanka, sponsoring competitions and giving out awards.

In Chennai, India, the International Carrom Federation (ICF) was established in 1988. In 1988, the game's official regulations for the Indian version were released. The regulations were formally formalized by the ICF in the same year. 

In South Asia, particularly in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and the Maldives, the game has gained enormous popularity. There are numerous nations in the Arabian Peninsula where the game is also well-liked.
