Carlos Alcaraz defeats Novak Djokovic to claim the Wimbledon Title: Sonam Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in Attendance

The Wimbledon 2023 final at London's All England Club included a number of elegant celebrity encounters. The annual tennis tournament held each summer, has evolved into a highly anticipated event drawing a slew of celebrities over the years. The Spanish-Bull, Carlos Alcaraz defeated the perhaps all-time greatest tennis player, the Super-Serb - Novak Djokovic. It would've been Djokovic's fifth consecutive title, but the 20 year old shocked the tennis world by winning a 5 set epic finals.
The match was a five hours long, filled with jaw-dropping moments where Alcaraz fought from being down in the first set. It was his second grand slam title after winning the US open in September last year.
In addition to a swath of Hollywood luminaries, Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja were among the famous attendes at the Wimbledon finals from India. Priyanka Chopra Jonas also joined the courtside along with her husband, Nick Jonas and their mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra. While Priyanka Chopra attended the match with husband Nick Jonas the day before, he attended the final with his mother-in-law Madhu Chopra.
Sonam shared a photo of her glammed-up look on Instagram. Sonam accessorised herself with Burberry trench and matching tights, black heels, a handbag, and sunglasses. The actress wore her hair in a neat bun with a middle parting and chose a bold red lips as her look for the finals. While posting her look, she wrote, “On my way to Wimbledon in style, donning a fabulous preview from Daniel Lee’s resort 24 collection for @burberry and of course, I can’t forget the latest addition to my wardrobe – the stunning Burberry knight bag from the new season. Game, set, match, and fashion-forward.” She also congratulated the Wimbledon champion, Carlos Alcaraz and the runner up, Novak Djokovic on her Instagram post.
