Closer to the start of production. Lalit Bhatnagar, the writer and co-producer of the horror film "Little Darling," is the producer.
In recent years, Siddiqui has been one of India's most prolific and well-liked actors. Manto, Raman Raghav, Gangs of Wasseypur, The Lunchbox, and recent series such as Netflix's Sacred Games and Amazon's McMafia are among his credits. He was also nominated for an International Emmy in 2020 for the Indian comedy-drama series Serious Men.
Siddiqui is in Cannes as part of the Indian government delegation to the festival and rights market, where India is the country of honour. The narration piqued my interest for a variety of reasons. For starters, the opportunity to work in a Christmas movie is unique and piqued my interest immediately. Roberto Girault, the director, has demonstrated his command of the camera and his ability to reveal new sides to actors. It's a welcome challenge that I often crave. Most importantly, the name 'Laxman Lopez' piqued my interest right away, Siddiqui said.
I am ecstatic about this collaboration. This script is near and dear to my heart, and the transition of the story and the challenges that the lead character faces are sure to pique everyone's interest, Girault said. When I first read the script, I began my search for the ideal Laxman Lopez, and my mind immediately went to Nawazuddin. I've seen a few of his works and know that this role will reveal a more vulnerable side to him. It's a project that will leave people with a smile and hunger in their stomachs!
The project is led by the New York-based shingle Imagine Infinite Prods and is produced by Lalit Bhatnagar, writer and co-producer of the horror project Little Darling. The shooting for the project will begin at the end of this year in the U.S.
