Top 8 Best Thriller Movies on Netflix India

  1. Raat Akeli Hain

The thriller genre in Bollywood is often cheesy and predictable, which makes this 2020 release such a pleasant surprise. It's a dark murder mystery that, thanks to the gritty performances of Nawazzudin and Radhika Apte, has earned a permanent spot on lists of the best thriller movies on Netflix India. Raat Akeli Hai exemplifies the shift in Indian cinema from cliched romantic love triangles to well-executed stories and meaningful content.

  1. Madras Cafe

Madras Cafe is a seriously underappreciated Bollywood film that deserves far more recognition and acclaim for its intellectual, riveting script and brilliant execution as one of the best political thrillers to grace the silver screen. It's a fascinating retelling of actual events, supported by striking visuals, a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack, and the ability to make you squirm in anticipation. Another such film is Batla House, which is available on Netflix India.

  1. Drishyam

Nishikant Kamat directed the 2015 Indian Hindi-language crime thriller, Drishyam. It is a remake of the Malayalam film Drishyam from 2013. 1. A Wednesday

A Wednesday! is a 2008 Indian Hindi-language thriller film written and directed by Neeraj Pandey and produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Friday Filmworks' Ronnie Screwvala, Anjum Rizvi, and Shital Bhatia. Despite being a work of fiction, the script was inspired in part by the 11 July 2006 Mumbai train bombings. The only choices for the lead roles, Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher, play people on opposing sides of the system. Set between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on a Wednesday, the film depicts a soon-to-retire police commissioner narrating a series of events that occurred that day.

There is no written record because the incident exists only in his mind and the minds of several individuals involved, willingly or unwillingly, and how those events affected the lives of all involved. It later influenced the Tamil and Telugu films Unnaipol Oruvan and Eeenadu (both 2009) and the Sri Lankan English film A Common Man (2013).
