Ayushmann Khurrana to join Vijan's Horror Comedy Universe

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has hinted at the possibility of him joining the Indian Horror Comedy Universe created by Dinesh Vijan with the movie 'Vampire'. The title is tentative and might change as the production of the movie begins. Ayushmann Khurrana said in an interview that Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik are trying their best to create a horror universe which is new for a country like India and that the official announcement about the project will be made soon.
According to reports, Ayushmann Khurrana will play the role of a vampire and actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu will play the role of a Princess in the movie. 'Vampire' is reportedly a movie about Rajasthani folklore and will explore the tales that have been told and passed down through generations in Rajasthan.
Dinesh Vijan's horror comedy universe includes movies like Stree (2018) which featured Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, Roohi (2020) which featured Janhvi Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma and the upcoming film Bhediya (2022) which will feature Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. 'Vampire' will be the fourth addition to this horror universe which has been produced by Maddock Films. Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor have also confirmed that Stree 2 is in the making, making it five movies in the Maddock Films and Dinesh Vijan-created horror comedy universe.
On the work front, Ayushmann Khurrana is busy promoting his new film titled 'An Action Hero' which will release on 2 December 2022. Ayushmann has also confirmed that he is working on the second instalment of the movie 'Dream Girl' titled 'Dream Girl 2' which will also feature Ananya Panday in the lead role. On the other hand, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was featured as the lead actor in the action movie 'Yashoda' which was released in November 2022.
