Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most popular actors in the Bollywood industry who has proved himself in the industry. From doing assistant direction to working as a lead actor in Bollywood films Ranbir Kapoor has come a far way. 15 years have passed since Ranbir Kapoor made his cinematic debut in 2007's Saawariya. Kapoor made sure that everyone turned to look closer as he danced to Jab Se Tere Naina, even if the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie did not find many fans. His greatest assets were his easygoing on-screen persona and chocolate boy persona, on which Kapoor built a strong reputation as a prominent hero in the mainstream Hindi film business. After 15 years and 30 parts, Kapoor is now recognized as the best actor of his generation.

Ranbir Kapoor had two significant releases in 2022 alone, and each one had a drastically different reaction. The failure of these two movies serves as a poignant reminder of how Kapoor's legacy as a leading man endures. Ranbir Kapoor made his long-awaited comeback to the big screen in Karan Malhotra's Shamshera. Additionally, it was Ranbir Kapoor’s first dual-role performance in a historical action movie. Shamshera, which was produced on a scale comparable to Baahubali, with a large villain, a developing caste theme, and a revenge narrative at its core.

Top 5 Ranbir Kapoor’s Best Movies

  1. Rocket Singh Salesman of the year:

Coming-of-age movies have always been Ranbir Kapoor's specialty. Heck, it wouldn't be a leap to argue that half of his filmography is made up of tales about an unpredictable lost youth who is supported by his true love while being saved by (insert passion here). Rocket Singh, Salesman of the Year, however, was unique. Both the movie and the part were the least representative of Ranbir. Ranbir initially defied expectations by portraying a de-glam Sikh salesman, which was the opposite of what heroes are supposed to accomplish. In addition, the movie had a modest budget and was practically an independent production, which is uncharacteristic of Kapoors other than Shashi.

But the reason Rocket Singh stands out in Ranbir's filmography is precise because of this. Better performances and films have been made by him. But this dramedy stands out as the bravest, most sincere, and most accessible of all. Ranbir performed the role in a way that he has never done before or since. He avoided histrionics and drama by acting subdued, as a normal human being would. I had yearned to see this Ranbir once again but in vain.

  1. Barfi:

Barfi is one of the most amazing works of Ranbir Kapoor in which he has lived the character. Priyanka Chopra, Ranbir Kapoor, and Illena made the movie so magical. Again the amazing fact is the direction of the film. Anurag Basu has done an amazing job. As he attempts the falling lamp test of love and gives a glimpse into his broken heart when the woman he loves chooses someone else, he is endearing yet controlled, and in the latter scenes, it is clear why Rimjhim was so entranced by him. Ranbir climbs all these hills with what appears to be ease, but it undoubtedly took a lot of effort.

  1. Tamasha

Ranbir Kapoor performed his best work in the Imtiaz Ali-directed flick Tamasha. It seems like a love story at first glance, but it is much more than that. The love narrative between Ved (Ranbir) and Tara serves as a means of capturing the hopes, disappointments, and aspirations of our generation (Deepika Padukone). It also aids in reevaluating love. It aids in your understanding that romantic love need not always be disastrous and that, in certain instances, it may aid in your realization of your true potential.

Ved is the main character of the film, and for him, life is difficult, monotonous, and meaningless. He has no reason to exist; he just is. Finding your true inner self and embracing it is a concept that it dwells on extensively. Ranbir does an excellent job of portraying Ved's inner problems. The vulnerable, depressed, and disappointing times of his life, as well as the joyful and optimistic times. Although the movie sparked a lot of divisive debate.

  1. Wake Up Sid:

In his acting debut as Siddharth Mehra, the immature and aimless affluent brat in his best friend Ayan Mukerji's Wake up Sid, Ranbir Kapoor had little trouble winning over the audience. It was encouraging to see Ranbir venture beyond the "chocolate boy" label in Bollywood after less encouraging performances in Saawariya and Bachna ae Haseeno. With her portrayal, Konkona Sen Sharma became his best co-star to date. The story of the movie centers on Siddharth, a Mumbai resident, learning to take responsibility for his actions with the aid of Aisha Bannerjee, a recent immigrant from Kolkata and aspiring writer-journalist.

  1. Sanju:

Sanju is by far the best movie of Ranbir Kapoor which has tons of emotions and also Ranbir Kapoor has portrayed the character of Sanjay Dutt very well. It has taken a lot of hard work to play Sanjay Dutt’s character. The expressions, the emotions, and the depth of his life are something that Ranbir Kapoor has given to the movie.
